Lutyens Country House

Lutyens Country House

CC Country was commissioned to sensitively restore, repair and extend an early example of Sir Edwin’s Lutyens work. The 19th Century grade II* listed home features bargate stone, original Lutyens fireplaces, Delft tiles and numerous architectural nuances and eccentricities throughout the prodigious interior.

We sensitively restored the original fabric of the building, using traditional materials such as lime plaster and distempered paint, we carried our extensive structural work to build a large extension to match the original Lutyens gatehouse design, which now houses an indoor swimming pool & spa. We re-used original Bargate stone, hand cut and sorted for the extension and stone repair throughout the property and completed the works with a bespoke high-end internal decoration and finishes.
