TOBY THORP, LEAD PROJECT MANAGER

“ I started my journey at CC in 2016, I intstantly fell in love with construction having started my career in financial services. Not only were the project enough to wow a then 23 year old but the main thing I felt when i walked through the doors at CC was the increduble team atmosphere, everyone from Site Managers to Directors made me feel instantly welcome and provided me with all their knowledge and advice, that continues to today. I accelerated up the ladder at CC, being guided and supported through various roles from my Site Office Admin role up to my current one as Lead Project Manager from CC London, including encouraging and supporting me to do a part time Masters Degree. The company has grown and expanded a lot over the almost 10 years since I joined but the core values have remained the same. Its has a real family feel, with a amazing teams of people in the fofice and on site, Directors who are always approachable and personable, whilst providing structure and support that comes with a company of this stature and size. Its a truly amazing place to work and grow.

“I joined the CC Construction family in 2012 and have never looked back. My early years at CC were spent as a working foreman. Those formative experiences laid the foundation for my own growth, and in 2015, I was entrusted with managing my own projects.

I’ve had the privilege of working on many award-winning, historic, and often sensitive prime residential projects across London, collaborating with some of the industry’s finest interior designers, architects, and engineers. Each project brings its own set of challenges, but with CC’s unwavering support and commitment to progression, I’ve always felt empowered to grow, lead, and deliver excellence.

“ I began my experience at CC Construction during my placement year at University in 2024 and was immediately impressed by the knowledge and passion of the project and site managers. Team members of all levels are willing to share their expertise, learn from and support each other.

After completing my degree, I returned to CC and am now working on three diverse projects. I’ve particularly enjoyed working on a project in Chelsea Square, and feel extremely supported by those around me to to develop my skill set and take the reins a little more.

I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities CC have, and continue to give me, and I'm excited to continue growing my career here - CC is a brilliant place to be!
