The Role
This is a senior position within the estimating team, responsible for leading and managing high-value tenders from enquiry through to submission and handover.
You will play a key role in:
- Tender strategy
- Supply chain engagement
- Commercial risk management
- Pre-construction planning
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed project estimates and tender submissions
- Analyse drawings, specifications and tender information
- Manage subcontractor enquiries, pricing and negotiations
- Prepare and review trade comparisons and tender qualifications
- Identify commercial risks, omissions and value engineering opportunities
- Benchmark and sense-check pricing against market conditions and previous projects
- Attend tender adjudications, interviews and post-tender negotiations
- Support and mentor junior estimators within the team
- Work closely with pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams through handover
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong estimating experience within construction
- Ideally has experience in high-end residential refurbishment and bespoke projects
- Is commercially aware and technically confident
- Has excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Can manage tenders independently with minimal oversight
- Communicates confidently with subcontractors, consultants and internal teams
